Nails Like Daggers

     The overall feel of this manicure is simplicity-- something that can be pulled off on a budget and at the last minute if need be. The dark, shimmery nail polish will add just the right hint of drama, while the oval "daggers" will surely stand out in the crowd. 

Step One: 

Of course, you'll need a set of long-ish nails to start with. I chose the Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails in "Active Oval", medium length. This kit is available at any drugstore. Plus, with plenty of nail sizes to choose from in this kit, you're more than likely to find just the right fit. To apply these, just follow the easy instructions on the back of the box. Tip: If you're having some trouble fitting these  onto your narrow nail bed, always choose the smaller size. You don't want glue sticking to your skin and ruining your manicure! 

Step Two: 

This grayish-black hue is perfect for a sophisticated/macabre look-- fitting for a diva like yours truly. This OPI polish is also available at the drugstore. However, any shade of black or grey would also work nicely for a subtle flair of the over-dramatic. 

The Results: 

A look fit for a Queen, on a budget! And perfect for a Halloween night in... or out showing off your royal wickedness to all the local princesses. Apple sold separately, of course.
