Dopey's Draft

       This beguiling slushy is all dressed up for Halloween! A simple, and sweet, mixture of apple cider and whipped cream that is sure to refuel your little monsters during their trick or treating marathon.

Ingredients:
For Beverage
  • 1 cup apple cider/juice
  • 1/2 cup(about 4 or 5) frozen apple cider/juice cubes
For Topping
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 

Directions:
For Beverage
  • Pour apple cider/juice into ice tray to fill about 4 or 5 slots. Freeze overnight. 
  • The following day, fill a measuring cup with 1 cup of cider/juice. Freeze for one hour or until liquid is scoop-able but not entirely frozen. 
  • Pull out the ice tray and slide the cubes into a blender. Then, crush the cubes until they are in a semi-solid but easily drinkable consistency. 
  • Pour contents of blender into a tall beer mug or pilsner glass. 
  • Scoop out contents of measuring cup, and stir with a spoon or straw until blended. 
For Topping
  • Add all the ingredients into a mixing bowl.
  • Blend for about 15-20 seconds or until stiff. 
  • Scoop over the top of the beverage and arrange until completely smooth.
